Didn't you think the 6-cylinder Firebird or Camaro was a mockery of the true 8-cylinder sports car?

I think they should've never came out with the 6-cylinder Firebird or Camaro.

If it's a Japanese sports car, a smaller car, then sure, a 4 or 6-cylinder if just fine, but the Firebird and Camaro are just too big for that.Didn't you think the 6-cylinder Firebird or Camaro was a mockery of the true 8-cylinder sports car?
it should have never been done!Didn't you think the 6-cylinder Firebird or Camaro was a mockery of the true 8-cylinder sports car?
WHOO GO LAMBORGHINI! (randomness)
There are many people out there that liked the style of the car, but don't care to drive fast, and/or they need to save on the price and gas. That's why the have always offered the six.

Guaranteed Ford sells more V6 mustangs that V8's. The V6's are still quicker than average.

It's all about choice - if you want to buy the new Camaro next year, and you don't think the V6 will cut it, by all means buy the V8 (I would too), but Chevy would be silly to not offer the six.
They did it to meet CAFE standards for mileage. Also, there are a few folks that looked for a sporty vehicle that was economical and, perhaps, easier to work on. Not everyone wants to race their cars but everyone wants to have a car that looks good. besides, there are some very fast 6 cylinder cars out there - Porsche for one.
