What is the true purpose of a sports bra?

For track most girls use them but I don't know the real reason why.

it keeps your boobs from going up and down up and down lol and yes it normally does make your boobs look smaller, or at least it does for me.


when i have P.E. at school i have to wear one cause all we do is run and everyone complains cause i take so long when changing cause i have to change bra's too. none of the people im my class have any boobs at all =/ its sorta embarrassing for me
Sports bras are for holding boobs close to the body so that they don't move around so much when you're doing sports or other physical activities. And I would recommend one if you play a lot of sports or something. If not, you don't really have to have one. =)
it protects your breast from moving up down so much. if you don't they will bruse really bad and hurts. for guys it feels like getting kicked in the balls. i wear sports bras working out and to lounge around.
Basically so your boobs don't pop around everywhere while running or such; it tends to get sore after a while. But sports bra's hold them in place although there not the best looking things a girl can buy id recommend one!

They keep your boobs from bouncing up and down over and over painfully. And they are more comfortable for exercise
it has more support for your boobs. when your running in a regular bra your boobs are going to be bouncing everywhere.
to keep your boobs in pace when you are working out, it hurts when u r running and they are all over the place, but maybe yours r 2 small 2 know....
