It's because of the hype, and WWE has enough money make the hype happen; WWE gets the publicity, and the attention on television. Also like Mr. Insult said, most of us are trained by the media and WWE to respond and appeal to bigger, muscular guys, and don't exactly understand what sort of talent SHOULD and could be involved.
Cause most of America only responds to cheesy characters or big muscled men like Cena and Batista. They don't know true talent. =/ It's a pain in the *** but that's what we have youtube for.
