There's no question that there are some athletes who are performing for the money, but it wouldn't be the first time money has overpowered ';good';.





I don't really understand what your definition of ';TRUE SPIRIT'; is, but I would say the main spirit of sport is to compete at your highest level, work hard, be honest and play to win. And there are still plenty of athletes who fit this criteria.





So, I would say NO to your question, but I won't deny that YES, there are numerous bad apples ruining the spirit of sport, but their numbers are meager, compared to the millions of athletes around the world who have the right mindset and continue to represent the world of sports in the true way.
