DO you think money and the professionalism and seriousness of sport has taken away it's true meaning?

ok so ive got a group debate on this tomorrow and i want some view points ive doen some research on it and got a few examples of players such as ronaldo, beckham and stevie G who show how money has affected the way they play football etc

so can someone please give some examples of how money and professionalism have ruined sports true spirit. thank you (:DO you think money and the professionalism and seriousness of sport has taken away it's true meaning?
heres a good example of how money has ruined football......when celtic won the european cup in 1967 all the players in the team were born within 30 miles of glasgow.........the fans could relate to the team..........these days the players are from all over the world and earn so much money that fans and players live on different planets. the big football clubs arent clubs anymore theyre soulless playthings for super rich men to buy and sell and make money fromDO you think money and the professionalism and seriousness of sport has taken away it's true meaning?
if you take football as an example, you have agents whispering in peoples ears, trying to get players to move clubs, because of big fat fees.footballers are over payed, under worked, and very unprofessional. the game has been ruined by money.they are perceived by clubs as a commodity to trade, david beckham found to his cost, when sir alex booted him out of the club,as no one person is,or should be,bigger than a club.a very necessary lesson to teach them all.
Basically it used to be a sport, now it is a business, making profits for share holders. The money comes from investors who have no interest in THE TEAM....only in THE COMPANY.It used to come in through the turnstiles, and we paid willingly to see OUR team lick the others.IF we lost we did not try to kick hell out of the other sides fans, and if we won ,they did not either.,or go screaming for the head coach or managers blood.and i often wonder if MATHEWS, MANIAN, OR MORTISON ever got kissed for scoring a goal. What a laugh.
