Is it true that bashing baby seals over the head with clubs is a sport?

I'm a huge animal supporter and i've heard about this before i was defilently shocked of course. i was just wondering if anyone knows if it's true or just a rumor?Is it true that bashing baby seals over the head with clubs is a sport?
nope it's not a sport. Never has been never will be.





Seals are hunted in the spring for their meat, pelt, and oil The majority are killed with guns but a small percent are killed with a hakipik. All you see is the '; club'; on line and on the news but this tool isn't used as much as it used to be.





Baby seals are not killed either. The animals can only be legally hunted after it's shed the white fur. At which point it's been abandoned by its mother and is independent.





What you heard is just a rumour to try to give the North Atlantic seal hunt a bad name.
